West Indies Beer Company is Grenada’s homegrown craft-brewing pioneer—hand-crafting real ales and small-batch favorites on the island since opening in September 2014. What started as a tiny setup in a wooden hut at True Blue evolved into something bigger (and thirstier): after Grenada went over 50 years without a brewery license, the team famously poured beer for free until they could open their first bar in Lance aux Épines, then expanded again in January 2016 with bigger tanks, a larger crew, and a lot more beer to share…

An island staple

Today, their beer garden and taproom “The Brewery” in Lance aux Épines serves up a rotating lineup of island-made brews and ciders, from their Windward IPA to crisp lagers, stouts, porters, and fruit-forward ciders. It’s not just a bar it’s a hangout: beer flights, growlers, good pub grub (plus breakfast and coffee), music and weekly events, and a welcoming spot that’s become a must-stop for locals and travelers alike.
